Migration was one of the earliest things he talked about doing so
This instance is younger by 3 months than the Ditto Gitlab project and only three objects coming from his actor on gleasonator.com talk about migrating from Rebased/Pleroma to Ditto and not in a meaningful way. (Pics related). Neither do any of the commits in the project. The other mention of migrating AP servers to Ditto comes from this issue created a year ago with zero work done with the last comment incidentally from around the same time he abandoned Rebased. His gleasonator.dev accounts never federated.
So as far as I know he talked about it in an issue, never delivered anything, not even a plan and posted about it twice promising it will eventually be there. He promised and after a year delivered nothing. Was he clear about there being eventually a migration path? Very much debatable.
if you didn't know you probably aren't in a good position to pick teams.
This is irrelevant and meaningless in this context not to mention deflective. I didn't pick any team. However your team was obvious from the start.
How it would work depends on your interpretation of how NOSTR infrastructure should be used.
I already in the other thread mentioned that Ditto is a hack to make Nostr seem more fedi like.
The only proper minimal migration from Pleroma/Rebased server to Ditto is if you ingest all local users with all local posts and store them once on a relay owned by you. That is the bare minimum for a migration path. Everything else like reactions, repeats are bonus points.
