Found a very nice wooden chair at the thrift store today, clearly handmade by someone who knew exactly what they were doing, but more than a little bit beaten up. Currently cleaning it / washing the upholstery, I'll post pictures of the entire chair when I'm done with that. One thing I'm concerned with is a large amount of damage on the wood like pictured here. Is this some sort of pest damage? Is the fix for this just sanding it out and applying filler?
