The real reason I was browsing is I wondered whether any actual aristocrats are Labour Lords. But no. All the hereditary ones for Labour are just inheritors of newfangled titles created in the 30s to the 50s.
Hereditary titles aren't really created any more at all in the UK. In the past all old prime ministers used to be made an earl.
