I don’t see a try on your timeline, but with the Imgur app you have to long press the image and get the actual image url from there, should end in .gif and I’ve seen some that end in .gifv and I’ve deleted the v and they work.
Also only friends, and now friends of friends should see image preview for now (until there are more granular options) can’t tell if you’re following yourself, but you should be consider friend of friend?
