I just cut a new release of Crazy Jumpman! 🥳
It's a jump and run (more like a jump and fall, but nevermind) for the #C64 that was originally released in September 1984 as a type-in listing in a German computer magazine. It even features a level editor!
I started by fixing some bugs in 2021 and new ideas just started piling up (especially because some Forum64.de folks were so helpful as to submit ideas and feature requests 🫣)
This version has new levels (now 13, up from the original 2) and the code is much more regular in preparation for a bunch of improvements that hopefully shouldn't be too far off. That said, the previous release on Codeberg was in November '21, so... yeah...
If you need your #retrogaming fix and aren't scared of a German user interface, grab it at https://codeberg.org/pgeorgi/crazy-jumpman/releases and have some fun. But beware: Games of that era compensated a lack of sophistication (e.g. small number of levels) by cranking up the difficulty. #retrocomputing
