Love the simple sites I see now, the 10k club and 1k club etc. But it's still a bummer to me that so many of the web dev sites are so similar and homogeneous too, even when they're simple- have you seen those? I tried to base my own portal (http://jakbea3.freehostia.com/oldtimeywebportal) on stuff like ye olde Yahoo. I love that fast load & same look everywhere.
