There's an emerging consensus among the commentariat that one good thing may come out of the Trump second term; Britain will need to pivot back towards Europe & (re)build ties with the EU... this consensus sometimes suggests it will allow the UK to get on the right track to rejoin the EU.

Certainly that may be the case on this side of the channel, but much would need to change among EU Govt.s & the EU Commission to see such moves result in membership; its not just about the UK.
