It was two years ago today (Valentines Day of all days!) that the Canadian govt, run by Justin Trudeau and his Liberals with the support of the NDP socialist party, illegally put the authoritarian boots down on peaceful canadians when they stood up to have their voices heard. Canadians who, from across the country, had gathered for weeks in the Nation's capital region in a sign of solidarity and patriotism, resisting the draconian measures imposed across the country and who were ultimately ignored.

Illegally imposed the Emergencies Act? Yes. The senate had not yet agreed it was necessary (and when it was rumoured not to be agreed to it was cancelled in three days with the excuse "it had fulfilled its purpose"). Illegally imposed, as well, when in review by the courts, not the sham POEC commission run by Trudeau's family friend and ski buddy, but the actual legal challenge, Justice Marlowe ruled that it hadn't met the threshold of requirements (the govt, again, the Liberals are currently appealing that ruling and did so within 10 (ten) minutes of the 180 page ruling, so they didn't even read the ruling).

Canada has a problem with accepting authoritarianism. That's the cultural difference between the US and Canada. Canada never fought for independence but instead waited patiently to be given it by the powers that be, the crown, and was ultimately given it in... Not 1867 (considered the birth of Confederacy) but 1982!

When Canadians stood up for their Charter of Rights and Freedoms during the convoy protest of 2022, we saw just how little fight they would give. All the govt had to do was shut down their businesses and bank accts, put up some jackboots, and threaten them with more difficulties. Several of the leaders were arrested and imprisoned for months on charges of "mischief". We saw this affect anyone who participated from even donors to the struggle. We saw the full display of a media controlled by the govt sway public opinion and split the nation which is still, to this day, very divided. We saw that our charter rights are meaningless in the eyes of the stacked courts and party aligned.

The fallout continues to this day and the passive aggressive Canadians are still a bunch of broken spirits and weak. When food bank use is at its highest, the country has been flooded by cheap labour and govt opiates, the cost of living is through the roof, and the govt solution is suicide (MAiD) which is now the 5th leading cause of death in Canada (think about that, the 5th leading cause of death is the state killing its own people!)... While the Liberals and Trudeau have shut down the govt debate, continue to rule "with ruthless abandon" (direct Trudeau quote February 7, 2025), and will install a new Prime Minister, unelected by the public, Canadians who want an election remain passive aggressive. Angry, upset, and powerless. They say it's hard to stand up when you're too weak. Hard to fight back when you're hungry.

I've made my feelings known but have little support. No one believes it can happen here. They're patiently waiting while the pot gets warmer and warmer. I've had it with Canadians and Canada. Yet, I wait. And plan. There will come a day, in the not too distant future when Canada will reveal itself saved or irredeemable. It will not be the act of one but the response or lack thereof that will determine my and my family's fate.

Happy Valentine's Day.
