Well government has much much lower expectations and accountability in general. The "go to university and get debt" route is gay and it's pushed by retards. They still use rhetoric from when it was a lot more exclusive and positively regarded, plus it's mostly sourced from teachers who that's all they know and have a vested interest in it being true. Learn -> Learn -> Teach. Not sure if I regret going myself, because they're not seeing a single penny of what they mis-sold me and I had tax funded fun (drugs) inbetween the crippling depression.
Unless you have a strong urge to go into something specific and it requires it, like STEM, uni's mostly pointless at best and a burden at worst. Even then it's gotta be something that'll pay itself off, I wanted to do a philosophy degree before talking myself out of it. I think I would've been pretty great at it tbh, certainly wouldn't have dropped out like with accounting, but best case scenario I would've got a teaching job and then gotten fired because I said something unsavoury to a fucking retard. One of my college philosophy teachers got fired for showing ricky gervais clips, biblebasher faggots complained it was offensive.
