I hope in the years to come there is a deep study of all the things the media told us during the pandemic.
I accepted that the whole 'Ivermectin is horse de-wormer' line, and that only crazy people would consider it.
In fact, in July-August of 2021 the NIH published this:

It states:
"Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally."
A month later, on August 30th 2021, the 'follow the science' CBC was basically mocking people for calling animal feed stores to try to get Ivermectin.
They said feed stores received a "deluge of calls"... "because of misinformation that suggests the drug, usually used to deworm horses and other livestock, can be used to treat Covid-19 in humans."
