This new highly infectious deadly dog pneumonia is spreading to our state. It can kill a dog rapidly, in two or three days. It can spread from grass as well as contact with other dogs. No dog-park visits for a while for us. Our relatively young, energetic dogs are used to walks and I need to find walkie places where other dogs are rare. Researchers are not even sure what causes this infection--they haven't isolated the organism--and thus no vaccines in the works yet.
