it's very easy to call people "white" or "black" or "indian" or "Arab" but truly ethnicity isn't about skin color, it's about culture, religion.
And it's very easy to justify preferring an opposite status quo where "white" people are oppressed over the current status quo where "non-white" people are oppressed, for some reason, with the justification of "the non-white are native, it's their land." And I've seen almost 1:1 correlation with people who prefer that over the status quo (instead of having no preference at all) with those that call me white and blame my state (and usually, me personally, too) for "enforcing white privilege".
