I did a bit more reading about what it entails, and while the ruling isn't perfect, it is far better than what most people on here are saying. The courts are saying that any attempt to manipulate the racial demographics of a university are illegal, including any attempts to get a proxy for race.
Obviously, a perfect ruling would strike down both of the '60s and declare America a White country, but that was never going to happen.
