My father expected me to have children first as well, sister beat me to it. It was a good bet. I was with the same woman for 5 years. Met her at an SCA event. We planned on getting married after she got out of college due as her grandparents were bankrolling it. They disapproved of me due to my status and not having a "good" job (e.g doctor, lawyer, engineer. I'm a janitor making $23/hr) after she transferred to another college for her bioeng degree. Left me after seeing all the other girls shacking up with educated men and growing disagreements with where we wanted to go after she got out.
She grew up off the grid. Was sort of a conservative hippy. She was a lovely woman.
That was 6 years ago. Haven't found anyone I've meshed with since then. My thirties are rapidly approaching. Scantly 3 years away now.
Never lose hope. But God it's begining to look bleak.
I don't know why I felt like autistically rambling about this.
