My writing students keep asking what professional peer review looks like, so I shared the current review reports with them. They wanted to know if philosophers are mean, and I said, generally not, but they can be quite exacting, especially about organization, but that's what I need the most help with. Still, it feels weird to show them.

Also my students: How much do you get paid to publish an academic article? How much do you get paid to do peer review? My answer used to be, it's in my salary.
