The word "liberal" is connected to both democratic principles & progressive politics. I wish we could end its attachment to the latter. For one reason, it's confusing. But another is that many lefties are illiberal. Some would be fine forcing everyone to accept their worldview. The last reason might be that this connection makes calling something right-wing sound fascist when it's just conservative, as left-wing means progressive. I'm left but I believe everyone should put #LiberalValues first.
