I don't know if any of this works for you Mar (what you can take with RA RX's and what you can't) but we often give something very similar to this for migraines in the ER:
Ibuprofen 800mg
Benadryl 50mg
Histamine Blocker (Famotidine, aka Pepcid extra strength)
Take them all at once (and yes, they must be taken together) then lay in a dark room for about an hour.
