Nostr? Yeah, but so what?
I would like to see Nostr take over everything. All devices would be connected without any "operating system" outside of the simplest of hardware interfaces. You don't need an operating system if you can access your data on pretty much any device that's somehow connected to a mesh network. Heck, you don't even need "the internet" to do that. Ethernet? Sure. Radio networks? Definitely. Heck, even laser line of sight? Doesn't actually matter. Sure, you aren't going to watch movies over a LoRA mesh network, but, you can certainly send and recieve notes on just about anything to just about anything, and that is exceedingly powerful.
Just don't lose your key. (Key management and recovery MUST be improved.)
