At any given moment there are untold horrors being inflicted by humans on other humans, humans on animals and animals on other animals. Not to say that we should ignore these things and not try to take steps within our power to reduce suffering, but at the same time if you have any empathy you have to be able to tune this stuff out periodically to get through the day. 😐
