While out for a run this morning I thought I saw a newt tadpole very briefly in a small pool of water but it disappeared so quickly and didn't reappear. Just been back in the hope of catching a glimpse and I saw 3! This is, as far as I can tell, the first recording of them at this naturally rewilded site since mining stopped in the early 2000's (Yes I'll be recording my observation!)
