Hills and brush here in my part of Ventura County are suddenly absolutely crispy :-( Hoping not too many stupid fireworks people here, the possibility of the grass igniting is very high. I cleared the perimeter around my yard down to the ground (no stubble), but the crews this year did not do so around all the other homes. I'm tempted to get up early tomorrow and push my safety zone a house in either direction by hitting the flammable stubble with a weed whip when it's still cool and damp. #wildfires
