I had my follow-up appointment with the cardiologist this morning and this time around he had access to a full suite of approved scans.

He thinks there's definitely cardiac asthma and there is some myopathy caused by overwork in the rest of the heart surrounding the dodgy valve.

I have a referral for more scans and a cardiac surgery consult, because it may now be too late for a valve replacement. That fact is alarming and enraging in equal measure.
