Danish is very close to Swedish and Norwegian of course (99% same grammar and 90% same vocabulary, slightly different spelling), and reading it should be relatively easy if you know Dutch/German and English. However, the spoken language is very different. Danish children are I think the slowest on earth to learn their mother tongue because of this. In Sweden and Norway they make a little fun of the Danish, same like the Dutch do with the Belgians.",
