This is the stovetop hood in my Airbnb. Classic poor design: identical tiny buttons, slave to symmetry, and too many options. I wanted to turn on the light this morning and bleary-eyed Scott had no idea, couldn't even see the icons!

Start with the obvious:
- increase button size
- reduced unneeded buttons
- arrange buttons better

I'd start with 4 buttons: a big fan on/off, small speed up/down, and big light on/off. That's it. With clever LEDs, could even remove the LCD display.
