Humanity only knows one major type of social structure: a hierarchy in which a few people have almost total control over everyone else.
There are several slightly different variations, eg. Theocracy, Autocracy, Aristocracy, Democracy, etc. but they are all fundamentally similar: a few people wielding almost all of the power and control over society, with the majority of people constantly struggling to survive underneath that control.
