I didn't notice this when it first came out, but:
*The Billionaire Who Wants To Live Forever Has Long Covid*
> If you haven’t come across him, Bryan Johnson is a 46-year-old tech bro who cashed out a few years ago and now spends all his time trying not to die.
> Today, for whatever reason, in response to a tweet I wrote about research showing covid ages a person biologically, he admitted a mild infection in November 2022 (months before those interviews) stripped him of 15% of his lung capacity.

There are lots of reasons to avoid getting #COVID , but in this case it sounds like this guy dedicated literally millions, if not tens of millions, of dollars plus countless hours trying to prolong his life only to lose whatever he may have gained to #COVID : an unforced and avoidable error. I know that language sounds callous, but in this I'm adopting the neoliberal logic that leads one to try to do such a thing in the first place. Contracting #COVID prevents you from maximizing subjective utility, which is your primary purpose as a #neoliberal subject.
Of course those of us who are not addled billionaires would also do well not to get #COVID and all my sympathy goes out to anyone struggling with it or its aftereffects.
