So, I think, for the general user who wants to try some distro packages from time to time, this solution is largely tone deaf and still doesn't solve the problem of I want this package to try it out for a bit, it can't be flatpaked because it's more or less a system service or cli app, but I don't want the burdan of a full layer just for that. I mean, that's generally a problem of immutable distros, and I think they'll only be useful in certain cases, aka mass corporate deployments on devices, for example the steamdeck, and probably other neeches, but not for the regular user.
