OK, right now I'm watching the following shows and I'll sort them by best (so far) to guilty pleasure
1. Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!: A twist on the general romcom formula where dealing with cope is a genuine issue, the aftermath of a failed romantic struggle that we often don't see in romantic stories. Also A-1 animation direction is gorgeous.
2. Giji Harem: Again, something that differs from the same formula, good pacing with jokes that not overstayed its welcome. It's also a tour de force for the female seiyuu.
3. Boku no Tsuma wa Kanjou ga Nai: I love the manga (up until a certain point), it is a genuine awkward portrayal of what a relationship would be for someone having a robot wife that is not "programmed" for that. The show is kinda diverging from the manga and that's a good thing.
4. Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san: Sometimes you just want your average romcom with good visuals and this is it.
5. Gimai Seikatsu: The show is very cinematic and the creative decisions regarding the direction of scenes is incredible. It can be a bit slow at times but again, it's something refreshing.
6. Koi wa Futago de Warikirenai: Do you like soap operas? K-drama? Mexican telenovelas? No, then you won't like this. To me it's one of those drama telenovelas I used to watch with my grandma so this is my guilty pleasure.
7. Isekai Shikkaku: The real suicide isekai. It lacks the comedy timing of Konosuba and the self-deprecating humor of SZS but it gives me a couple of chuckles.
8. Isekai Suicide Squad: Speaking of suicide, you have to be in the mood for this. This is the Harley Quinn and Friends show, she is the strongest character and the producers know it.
9. Tensui no Sakuna-hime: Have you played Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin? If the answer is no, then it's probably not for you. It's a relaxing story of self-reliance and finding your place. Amazing work from P.A. Works
10. Elf-san wa Yaserarenai: Budget: 500 ¥
Studio: Only did ONE hentai before
Heart and Soul: Tons. The low budget thing is charming and you know the people behind it really likes the main source and they are trying the best. Architect approved.
11. 2.5-jigen no Ririsa: My Dress-Up Darling but bad
12. Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan: Meme of the month
13. Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyuutan: Subpar adaptation, boring MC, characters wasted on a bad show.
14. Shoushimin Series: What if Hyouka was more boring and edgy, not animated by Kyoani but by someone who wants to be a movie director instead of an anime director? Not interested yet, me neither.
