Saturday night my wife stayed at our daughter’s house and babysat two of our granddaughters, one from each family. One of them threw up. Twice. But she’s known to do this.

Today we learned that two other grandkids had thrown up last night. I told my wife I hoped she didn’t get sick. She bragged that she’d cleaned up after sick kids her whole life and didn’t get sick. “It’s a mom thing.”

Oh, dear hubris. She just threw up.

She is quarantined. I wonder if I can get out of this one alive.
