That's not how it works. This is how you get a dysgenic society. Tastes are very much accounted for. They are cultivated and promoted and constructed. Today by jews but /we did it too. Since ancient Greece, there were hard standards about what you're supposed to like and social ostracism anf mockery if you deviated. Its the standard thing in human civilization. Accounting for taste is one of its pillars.
