In my opinion #Mammoth could be a great inspiration of giving it a bit more familiar #Twitter like UI, while keeping #Mastodon features in tact. Mainly the timeline, compose window (and trigger), notifications and messages.
In general displaying of threading should be improved though, as well as more accessible bookmarks etc. In Mammoth it’s all hidden under the “...” button on profile, which is not very elegant, and I think even less nice than the official app.
