Bought a Cisco 2901 a few weeks ago to use as a home router. Now that I've read up a bunch of everything that has changed in IOS in the past 20 years, I've learned that licensing changes in IOS 15 mean this particular 2901 doesn't have the license needed for doing any form of stateful firewall. Even if I wanted to buy the license, there's no way to activate it on EOL gear.
