Ukrainian Drone Attack Being Assessed As War Crime — Kommersant
Russian authorities are treating Tuesday’s drone attack on Moscow as a war crime, with a unit specializing in war crimes, genocide, and rehabilitation of Nazism working on the case within the country’s investigative committee, Kommersant newspaper reported Tuesday.
According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, eight drones were detected in Moscow’s airspace on Tuesday morning, with three suppressed by electronic warfare measures and diverted from their intended route and the other five downed by Pantsir-S air defense systems.
Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that the Russian military had targeted the headquarters of the Ukrainian military’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) in Kiev several days prior and suggested the drone raid might have been staged to avenge that particular strike.
