Josh "cortex" Millard on Nostr: Thinking about how I need to get up to some sort of oil painting project again, and ...
Thinking about how I need to get up to some sort of oil painting project again, and in turn thinking again about Julian Stanczak, an artist who I first discovered the work of several years ago when I was stopped in my tracks by a large painting in the modern wing of the Portland Art Museum. It was unapologetically ordered and geometric in a way I wasn't used to seeing in a fine art context. That painting was a genuine catalyst for my last several years of art-making.
