Just seen Any Old Port in a Storm for the first time. I loved the relationship between Columbo and the homicidal vineyard owner Adrian Carsini, played by Donald Pleasance, who’s on sparkling form … it’s fantastic stuff overall, with a memorable closing scene. I wasn’t sure about the ‘gotcha’ moment… it doesn’t quite stack up to my mind - but it’s still a vintage episode!
