Spend my last vacation days to clean-up my Wordpress blog a bit. What I did:

- Disabled XMLRPC and moved /wp-admin/ to another URL
- To further secure my /wp-admin/ I activated 2FA for all users and limited login attempts
- Replaced my old backup plugin with a new one and now I'm finally happy
- Replaced my old caching plugin with a new one that seems to run on stereoids
- Installed Autooptimize alongside the new caching plugin to further improve site loading speed
- Fixed caching in .htaccess
- Installed Statify (+ Extended) to gain some insights about the usage of my blog (finally I seem to care about some KPI's ;)
- Fixed my sitemap (for some reason it was on noindex - WHAT?) 💣
- Installed a plugin that is submitting any article I create / edit automatically to Bing & Google
- Renewed and (also fixed) some Open Graph descriptions
- Disabled the 404 page and instead of showing a 404, redirecting to a random article
- Fixed all broken links and links with other errors in all articles
- Added redirections for some errors I found in the Google Search Console in .htaccess
- Fixed a few wrong 301 redirects in .htaccess
- Added favicons that finally work on any platform (even if you pin my blog in your Windows start menu) with the help of realfavicongenerator.net
- Removed the embedded WOFF2 font
- Removed uneccessary stuff in my Wordpress Themes files and the CSS
- Updated my about page

Still missing:
- Looking for a good way to add a search feature to my blog
