Really enjoying this early stage learning of #nostr
What I’ve gotten out of it so far is it’s finally given me a use case for setting up and having a play with Lightning, blessed to receive some sats via the Alby Chrome extension. I’m hoping this is the start of a long journey in this space - can totally see the benefits even with some of the teething issues that comes with it.
I’ve never considered myself a creator but the micropayments would open up an avenue for any form of content - doesn’t have to be entertaining but can simply be educational or helpful, why not send sats where someone has saved you time, provided assistance or even just adds value to a conversation?
Admittedly I’m only using Damus so far (macOS version seems slicker than iOS) but a quick donate or ‘super like’ with optional quantities of sats might be a good way to encourage that rather than providing invoices?
