I think there's a lot of factors that need to be addressed as to why they would be implementing it, but even though I am generally pessimistic of conscription coming back soon for a multitude of logistical reasons, I don't rule out the possibility that they would do it anyway. That said, I do think implementing it would be an absolute shitshow. I view a lot of this as arm flailing by the Pentagon because the fact of the matter is they fucked up the "peace dividend" and they're going to be forced to draw down out of necessity.
