Here is an election truism: most people are not motivated by fear, when it comes to voting.

Most people’s “freeze, flight, or fawn” reaction to electoral fear mongering is usually just not to show up. People are motivated by being inspired by something the candidate offers if there is a realistic prospect of it being delivered.

While warning people how bad the the other guy is, you have to inspire them to vote for your guy, too.
