What exactly is wild is often a discussion on #iNaturalist, where observations are by default wild unless someone chooses to mark them as "captive/cultivated". For me, the first generation after captivity is wild, so a seedling showing up in a plant pot naturally dispersed as a seed from a nearby planted parent is wild. It's first generation wild, which is often less ecologically interesting than multi-generational wild. But it's on its way.
