honestly, this may look bizarre, but it's in fact a massive deenshittification of the place (you started to use stupid words, now you will have to bear with me, sorry bro)
this open exposed facade is how the old-new (from the 50's) station building was meant to look and looked for a while, it's not the peak architecture to write home about, but it's a decent building of some value
it looks like shit because this entire main hall was covered over by a crap extended vestibule with the metro in the early 80's, which ruined all view angles and compositions from all directions (tho came with a fairly iconic M-shaped ventilation tower that is also to be kept)
