This is the nature of criminal conspiracies when they fall apart. We have to stop taking what criminals say (or even think) into account. The rule of law is the rule of law and that's the bottom line. Nothing they say matters in the face of the rule of law - so long as we enforce it the way we're supposed to (and not selectively as we have up until now).
The fact that Jack Smith did what he did - that's the rule of law (finally) asserting itself. Lawrence Tribe - a guy with a good sense of law & history - gave Jack Smith's work an A+ but the DoJ's work a clear "Tardy".
I am more than hopeful today. I am looking forward to living through some truly amazing American history.
