I live in NE England close to a river with neighbouring woodland and meadows. Using the Merlin Bird ID app I’ve identified 42 species of bird of which 36 are regulars -among them: oystercatchers (flying over right now), blackcaps, kingfisher, chiffchaffs, house sparrow, dunnocks, goosanders, pheasants, siskins, treecreepers, grey heron, tawny owl, buzzards, moorhen, coal tits, goldfinch. Also migrating birds such as whitethroat and spotted flycatcher.
