I'm letting my old lady hair grow out, and sometimes my inner critic whispers, "You look pathetic, Old Biddy Trying To Look Young!"
And I answer, "Shut up, you. I'm not trying to look young--as if! I'm saving haircut money. And who cares what I do with my hair? I look fabulous."
