And Tolkein was friends with C.S. Lewis and led him to the Lord. His witnessing to his friend gave us one of the greatest Christian writers. He was also a little jealous because Tolkein was Catholic and Lewis was protestant and because Tolkein spent so much time getting every detail of his stories to the point of making sure the moon was the right phase at the right time and the travel time made since and the languages and histories were fully complete. Lewis, in his Chronicles of Narnia, whipped up a fantastic story and let the editors clean it up.
