Earlier today, I was thinking about what Twitter has become: A dystopic cesspool of cruel, angry people spreading lies, hate, and misery. This place of horror and pain is sustained by the ego of one man, who can have any material thing he wants and is worshipped by countless devoted admirers.
That arrangement reminded me of something, which finally came to me a couple of hours later. Twitter is the dark mirror of Omelas. And I knew where I was going when I walked away.
