Whenever I write about the joys being sober (before) or the good things about the Fediverse (lately), some comment in sarcastic and pointy way that I'm somehow "better than the rest of us". I wonder why? I do not try to be. I might be pragmatic and believe in my cause, but I'm never unkind.
I believe it's because the subject triggers a cognitive dissonance in them, they are doing something what they believe is good but is not in reality, and me talking about things being "absolute", in a sense, reflects the negative patterns in themselves. Or something like that.
