TBF Ukrainian generals saw the hazard. So they have put up some resistance at the sides of the pincer. That is why there was no complete encirclement until the organized resistance collapsed a week ago. The troops encircled now are cut off in dozens of little pockets left behind by the advanced Russians. They are not sitting in an Illovaisk style cauldron.
