While not disagreeing, the point I was making was the BoE is looking partly in the wrong place (either wilfully/ideologically, or because they misunderstand inflationary pressures)....
while better wages data would help, really they need to me more attentive to non-labour market drivers of inflation, which occasionally appear when the clouds of economic orthodoxy clear for a moment & they 'see' the landscape of profitablity & energy prices.... which, of course, they can't 'control'
