I am slowly coming to the position that coming the TFG/Vance years will be an avalanche of failures and destruction.
My feeling is that we just ought to get out of the way and let it happen - that's the only way that maga heads will learn (assuming that is even possible.)
(Whether we get out of the way or not, the pain to real people is going to be intense.)
But it does mean that we accept that the US on the present Constitution is at an end; that a reconstructed nation (or nations) will not be on the same pattern as today.
The resulting US (or whatever) will be second tier nation(s), like Brazil - consequential but not dominating. The US pieces will become a tributary to the new hegemons of Europe and China.
States with economies like nations - Texas, California - will probably weather the storm better.
